Voilà on part demain pour deux semaines à Hawaii !!!
Au programme, déjà ça :
Et puis sinon, on va voir Oahu (Honolulu et Waikiki, Hanauma Bay, …), Big Island et son volcan, et Kauaï (Napali Coast).
On vous mettra peut-être quelques photos pour vous faire baver
Hawaii est au fuseau GMT-10, ce qui fait 3 heures de décalage avec la Californie (3 heures de moins), et 12 heures avec la France (facile )

Quelle belle journée !
Des amis supers, des bonnes merguez, des bons petits plats/gâteaux/bonbons, des professionnels du BBQ, un temps splendide, un bébé en pleine forme, un gâteau pas trop mal… Tout était réuni pour nous faire passer un bon moment.
Comme à chaque fois qu’on se lance dans un barbecue, on a bien cru qu’on allait manger la viande à 4h de l’après-midi, mais finalement tout s’est bien passé Merci à Fred, Tao et Yann pour leur aide précieuse
Il faut dire que la semaine avait été longue. Lohan a fait une réaction aux vaccins après la visite des 12 mois… Il est monté à 39,6°C, plus une poussée dentaire très douloureuse… On a bien cru qu’on allait tout annuler. Mais finalement tout s’est calmé le vendredi soir, et on a pu terminer notre gâteau tranquillement.
Le gâteau tout nu, puis habillé avec la faille de San Andreas au milieu…
La confection du gâteau ne s’est pas non plus passée exactement comme prévue Il a fallu modifier la recette plusieurs fois, et cuire plusieurs gâteaux « pour du beurre »… La recette originale ne se prêtant pas du tout au gâteau pour 40 personnes !!! Mais grâce à Nadia et à sa recette magique (ainsi que son matos de professionnelle ) on a réussi !!!
Et il est plutôt réussi vous ne trouvez pas ?
L’après-midi s’est finie tranquillement à l’ombre des arbres :

What a great day!
Great friends, good sausages (merguez), good food/cakes/sweets, people with great BBQ skills, perfect weather, a baby in his top forme, a cake not too bad… Everything we needed to make a perfect day.
As usual when we decide to make a BBQ, we almost ended up eating the meat at 4pm, but finally things turned out fine Thanks to Fred, Tao and Yann for their help!
I have to say that we had a tough week. Lohan had a bad reaction to the vaccins of the 12 months check-up.. The fever went up to 103.4°F, and he was teething really badly… We really thought of calling everything off. But on Friday night things kind of settled down, and we could finish our cake.
The preparation of the cake didn’t go easily neither We had to modify the recipe several times, and I had to bake several failed cakes… The original recipe was not made to work with cakes that big!!! But thanks to Nadia and her « secret brazilian recipe » (and her profesionnal baking tools), we made it!!!
And the result is not too bad, is it?
We spent the end of the afternoon in the shade, quietly.
And Lohan opened his presents. What a spoiled kid!!!

Dimanche, nous sommes allés faire une petite rando à Castle Rock, un State Park situé au dessus de Saratoga. Il faisait très beau et très chaud, et c’était l’occasion pour tester le porte-bébé avant notre grand weekend du 4 juillet à Crater Lake.
On commence par un petit biberon histoire d’être bien calé :

Lohan aime beaucoup. Il adore être en hauteur, et passe son temps à vérifier que celui qui ne porte pas est toujours là
C’était bien sympa, mais qu’est-ce qu’il est lourd !!!!
